APIS®
Soil Ion Exchange Additive 

APIS® is an ionic-based chemical additive designed for the stabilisation and improvement of soils with low bearing capacity, particularly effective in fine-grained clay soils.

Originally developed in Germany in the 1960s and subsequently optimised by Strade Eco Soil-Tech, APIS® operates through cation exchange mechanisms, modifying the physico-chemical structure of soil particles. This process reduces plasticity, limits swell potential, and promotes granular matrix reorganisation, resulting in a significant increase in densification, cohesion, and mechanical strength.

Its application enables in situ soil improvement, minimising the need for excavation, transport, and material replacement, thereby reducing operational costs and environmental impact.

 

With proven performance across a range of geotechnical conditions, APIS® enhances key soil engineering parameters, including bearing capacity (CBR), compressive strength, and durability. It is an effective solution for road, rail, airport, and industrial infrastructure projects.
